Republican efforts to communicate disInformation to the American Public is beginning to wear thin. The manipulation of intelligence has become obvious. Do they really think we are all fools? Well, yes, many Americans are, as Bill Maher has pointed out: "you could put George Bush on a leash with prisoners at Abu Ghraib, and the 45% who are voting for the President wouldn't bat an eye."

The Republican use of disInformation is becoming the most frightening aspect of the political campaign. They have gone so far as to open the Statue of Liberty at the same time they are heightening security on financial buildings. Scare them and then ask for adoration. That is their strategy. That was also the strategy of Big Brother. Love and fear work well together under the banner of disInformation.
